Quick LinksWeekend Heart Prep
Weekend Heart Prep.
What we practice Monday through Saturday shapes the heart we bring into the room.
Before you get out of your car.
Take three to five minutes before each weekend.
- 01Pause and pray.
Pray silently, asking God to reveal and remove distractions. “Is there anything in my heart that could distract me from Your presence?” Take that time to surrender any burdens to Him.
- 02Seek God’s guidance.
Invite the Holy Spirit to direct your actions, whether operating the dLive soundboard, adjusting lighting, or running ProPresenter.
- 03Trust in God’s rest.
Embrace the promise of Exodus 33:14, releasing stress or performance pressure.
- 04Pursue excellence.
Inspired by Colossians 3:22–25, perform your role with diligence.
- 05Foster team unity.
Support your team by communicating clearly, offering help, and praying together.
Pray these Scriptures
“My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”Exodus 33:14
“O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You, my body longs for You and my soul thirsts for you…”Psalm 63:1
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”Colossians 3:23
“Acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you…”1 Chronicles 28:9
Remain in His presence all week.
The most valuable rhythm for your heart is to remain in God’s presence throughout the week, not just on the weekend.
- Word
Meditate on Scripture day and night. It trains, corrects, and equips us for every good work.
- Worship
Delight in the Lord before you ever lead others into His presence.
- Prayer
Stay in conversation with God, surrendering burdens as they come.
- Fasting
Train your body and heart to hunger for God more than anything else.
- Community
Walk with others who draw you toward Him, not away.
Scriptures
“Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.”1 Timothy 4:7
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”Joshua 1:8
“No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”1 Corinthians 9:27
“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”Matthew 6:16–18
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”2 Timothy 3:16–17
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.”Psalm 1:1–2
Where are you serving from? Obligation or willingness?
Come prepared, ready, and willing. Not just prepared with awareness of the service and its moving parts, but prepared with a heart ready to see God move.
