Your checks are saved on this device until you reset them.

Pre-Service

2 · Line Check Procedure

No longer than 5 minutes.

  1. Metering

Set metering to post preamp on dLive.

  2. Drums

Set gain on drums: transient not clipping, hitting around −4 dBFS.

  3. Instruments

Set gain on bass, guitars, keys, and any other instruments or choir: average −12 dBFS, “unity” (0) on the dLive meters.

  4. Tracks

Set gain on tracks (if needed): use the final chorus of Song 1 and set to average −12 dBFS.

  5. Vocals

Have vocalists sing a chorus with proper mic technique and vocal projection, and set to average −12 dBFS.

  6. MD mics

Set gain on MD mics (−12 dBFS).

3 · RXL Procedure

Rehearsal.

RXL must end no later than 15 minutes before service.

  1. Metering

Set metering to post delay on dLive.

  2. DCAs

    Bring all DCAs to unity.

  3. Signal chains

Check signal chains and gain staging first.

  4. After Song 1

Address glaring issues (for example vocal mic technique, keys or guitar patches, adjustments to tracks).

  5. Broadcast

Check the broadcast mix periodically, listening for room mic balance and vocal placement.

  6. Cues & SPL

Make note of vocal and instrument cues throughout RXL, and the average SPL reading. It should be 1–2 dB(A) higher than service volume.

  7. Run it again

Ask the worship team or specific musicians to play something again at the end if more adjustments are needed and there is time.

  8. Wrap

Hit “DCA DOWN” on the Stream Deck once RXL is complete, fade in Spotify, and set lighting to pre-service.
